The 2016 Beyonce Formation World Tour returns to the United States for its final month, with nine concerts taking place over a span of 26 days. Two of those concerts will be held in The Dome at America’s Center in St Louis, Missouri on September 10 and NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on September 22. The 2016 tour, which finished six weeks of international concerts on August 3 in Barcelona, Spain, resumes on September 7 in New Jersey after a month-long break. That’s followed by the September 10 concert at The Dome at America’s Center in St Louis.
The September 10 date marks the lone stop in Missouri by the tour and precedes two concerts in California. The Missouri appearance is also the first time since 2013 that the singer has appeared in St Louis, when she was performing during her Mrs. Carter Show tour.
At the time of the earlier concert, The Dome at America’s Center was known as the Edward Jones Dome. However, that sponsorship ended when the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams announced plans earlier this year to return to the city of Los Angeles.
The September 22 concert at NRG Stadium will once again serve as a homecoming for Beyonce, who grew up in Houston. In the early stages of her tour, Texas was the site of two of her concerts. The first came at NRG Stadium on May 7, followed two nights later with a trip to northern Texas to play in Dallas.
That earlier concert in Houston was sold out, which resulted in an announcement just days before that first event that she would return on September 22. The popularity of Beyonce throughout the course of the 2016 tour has seen a number of sellouts and shows added for stops in both Chicago and London.
