The Nomad Accelerator has launched a first of a kind bootcamp to help people become a ‘digital nomad’, a term given to those who can work from anywhere and at any time, merely using their laptops and a reliable internet connection. In the past few years, the interest of people towards digital nomadism has grown rapidly due to their increasing desire for independence, flexible work hours, opportunities for travel and presumably less stress compared to regular a desk jobs.
Even though many people dream of living the digital nomad lifestyle, the reality is that a large number of people don’t know where to start or what skills are needed to succeed. Recognizing this gap between desire and realization, the Nomad Accelerator has launched a program aimed to equip participants with the right knowledge, skills, and mindset to accelerate them into their digital nomad lifestyle. The program is designed around practicality and is taught by successful nomads who have an abundance of experience and knowledge that they will share with the soon-to-be nomads.
Digital nomadism is becoming a well-established and recognized subculture. According to one statistic, about 4 million Britons are working from home or remotely. On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, a survey by the American Freelancers Union shows that roughly 30% of their workforce is already freelancing. Pieter levels, founder of Nomad List, Remote OK and Places to Work, even goes as far as claiming that by 2035 there will be 1 billion digital nomads. The Nomad Accelerator program is a step forward in the rapidly expanding digital nomad ecosystem that will help more people to liberate themselves from the grip of the traditional 9-5 office culture.
The two-week course teaches candidates essential digital nomad skills such as becoming an online marketer, rapidly building websites, designing landing pages with high conversions, successfully bloging/vlogging, using automation &assistants, becoming a growth hacking superstar, using Search Engine Optimization to rise to the top of Google’s rankings, growing and maintaining online communities, and leveraging social media. Mitchell Weijerman, founder of the Nomad Accelerator, announced: “The program provides everyone, no matter what background with the right skills, knowledge, and tools to kickstart their digital nomad lifestyle.”
The first cohort of the accelerator program will start on the 31st of July in Barcelona, Spain. This program has only 30 seats, will cost $2500, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. The selected candidates get the opportunity to gain insider knowledge and tricks from 10 amazing speakers, who have expertise in the world of digital nomadism, so that the participants themselves can become a digital nomad superstars.
