Barbra Streisand is an American actress and singer. She broke out into the Hollywood scene in 1961 when appearing on The Tonight Show where she sang Harold Arlen’s A Sleppin’ Bee. She was nominated for a Tony Award for the category of Best Actress in a Musical but lost to Carol Channing in Hello, Dolly! But received an honorary Star of the Decade Tony Award in 1970.
