Randi’s newest labor of love Glass Slipper is a remarkably passionate CD of songs that will take the listener on a rollercoaster of emotions. Audiences in San Diego will have the chance to hear Randi take to the piano and sing a set of her new songs for a live listening party, also featuring her musical partner, guitarist, percussionist and producer Noah Heldman. In addition, the evening will include “Lennon-esque” musical performances by “The Troubadour of Peace” Zach, along with a special live version of his duet with Randi “Echo Coming Home” featured on Glass Slipper.
The upcoming release of Randi’s CD Glass Slipper, will also include recorded contributions from Grammy Award-winners Dave Eggar on cello, and Larry Mitchell on guitar as well as a duet with People magazine’s up and coming country artist Aaron Parker.
Randi Driscoll follows in a long line of powerful female songwriters reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Carol King, yet remaining completely original as a distinct and modern voice in musical storytelling. Driscoll first caught the bug for music by following in the footsteps of her father who loved singing and a mother that played piano. It wasn’t long before Randi herself would begin playing piano and crafting songs at the age of 5. Fast forward to the present, Randi has become a talented songstress with the ability to perform melodies on stage that hone in on listeners as if they were ballads written specifically for them. Her songs capture a list of human emotions that touch audiences with laughter, tears and the joys of life, while sweeping across musical genres.
Perhaps best known for her anti-hate crime anthem, “What Matters”, Randi has received several awards while having her songs featured in television, film, and performed by over 50 choirs.
