Vocalist duo Bernadette and Winston Charles will be in concert at the 38th Annual Festival of Lights on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, held at the Washington D.C. Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Temple’s state-of-the-art Visitor’s Center. The concert is free to attend and tickets are available at the Visitor’s Center on a first-come, first-served basis beginning one hour prior to each performance.
Although both classically trained singers, the duo performs a wide range of musical genres. Throughout their 20 years of music and ministry, they have received various merits and awards, including first place in the National Talent America Award in New York in 2003.
Their latest studio album, “Take My Life,” was released earlier this year and features 10 spiritual tracks, including the hit single “Dry Their Tears.”
Over the years, the Charles’ have performed at several venues in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area as well as New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, London and the islands of Trinidad and Tobago.

During the Festival of Lights, the Temple grounds will be aglow with 650,000 lights. Other attractions include Christmas trees decorated in international themes, an exhibit of crèches from around the world and a life-sized outdoor nativity.
