Dallas – Feb. 5, 2016 – Could bullying be a precursor of abuse? Transformational coach, author and abuse survivor Kimesha Coleman is offering to share her journey from victim to victor with anyone who is struggling through relationship bullying and abuse in a new speaking tour.
Teens with low self-esteem often resort to bullying and it’s unfortunate this behavior can on occasion persist through the length of a person’s entire life. Children who have utilized violence make it to adulthood without a change they can often cause harm to others as they did even at a younger age. 22% of women and 15% of men have experienced some form of partner violence even in early-stage relationships between 11-17 years of age. Coleman, author of “He Loves Me Not: Buried Tears of Betrayed Love,” will share her story in the hopes of helping others learn how to avoid the dangers of abusive relationships.
Coleman overcame traumatic adversity in her life as a survivor of abuse and humbly speaks about her encounter with her teenaged boyfriend who held a gun to her head before turning the gun to himself. Now, she shares her story of triumph with teens and women through her “Breaking the Silence” speaking tour. Her goal is to spread awareness about bullying, teen dating violence and domestic violence.
Coleman’s speaking tour will take her through Dallas, Houston, Austin, Florida, and Atlanta from February to September.

“If I could alleviate the obstacles our teens face by empowering them with my story, then I have served my purpose,” Coleman said. “My mission is to encourage them to never abandon themselves or their dreams. If I can overcome the trauma of abuse, anyone can.”
Coleman recently spoke at the Boys and Girls Club in a low income part of Dallas last fall. Coleman will return in February to donated copies of her book to teens at her own expense.
