“Social Security and Medicare are two areas in which retirees are the most uneducated,” Dr. Walker said. “This causes retirees to file to their detriment as opposed to their benefit. It’s our goal to provide the necessary information to help them maximize these benefits for the times they need it most.”
Key topics to be discussed during the seminar include:
How income tax is calculated on benefits and possible tax reduction strategies;
How Social Security is calculated and strategies that could increase benefits;
How to understand the numerous confusing aspects of Medicare;
How certain types of earnings and pensions could affect benefits; and
Why to purchase the Part C Supplement.
Educational materials will be provided. Attendees can request additional information or meet with a specialist to arrange for a no-fee consultation.
The seminar is presented by Affordable Benefits Solutions, Inc., which specializes in retirement planning.
