Dr. Moreno has been practicing for over thirty-five years and is currently serving patients at Asthma & Allergy Associates of Florida, PA, in Miami, Florida, which he joined in 2008. He is also on staff at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, among others.
Dr. Moreno studied at the University of Puerto Rico and graduated in 1967. He then served his internal medicine residency at the University Hospital in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and the San Juan City Hospital and underwent a fellowship in allergy and immunology while completing a master’s degree of science at the University of Michigan. Dr. Moreno received board certification in internal medicine and allergy and immunology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He maintains his forefront position in his field as a member of the American Medical Association, the Infectious Disease Society of America, the American Academy of HIV Medicine and the John Sheldon Allergy Society. Dr. Moreno was declared one of America’s Top Doctors and Florida Super Doctors.
Dr. Moreno conducted medical research in the areas of drug allergies, HIV/Aids, immune modulators and angioedema. He lectures nationally and internationally in the fields of allergy and immunology. Dr. Moreno feels that he owes his success to making a difference in the field and helping patients and their families. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling. Dr. Moreno also enjoyed an extensive academic career and retired in 2007 from the University of Miami.
