NewsWatch, a national television show, recently aired a segment on BabyDoze, a mobile app for putting babies and infants to sleep in seconds. Andrew Tropeano, host of AppWatch, a weekly segment dedicated to app reviews and game reviews of new and upcoming apps and games, reviewed BabyDoze.
A new mobile app in the United States, BabyDoze is an effective and affordable solution to babies and infants that have trouble falling asleep.
The creator of the app, Barry Author, is a former musician from Canada. Using a special microphone, Barry recorded his wife’s womb sounds while she was pregnant with their daughter. The sounds simulate the natural womb environment where the baby first sleep and relaxation experiences occurred. The recording was made using Doppler equipment and a specially adapted microphone. The sounds that can be heard are made by the mother’s blood flowing through the placenta.
Barry first used the womb sounds on his child. After repeated success in putting her to sleep post birth, the sounds were tested in maternity hospitals across the UK and found 122 out of 124 babies fell asleep within minutes. The device was found to be significantly more effective than playing music or cuddling. A live test on the BBC 12 O’clock news was deemed by the presenter to be “Magic”. Barry recently put the recording into app form and has seen tremendous success worldwide.
The app is available for $5.99 for iOS and Android devices and is available as a CD on Amazon and other retail stores.
To begin using the app, first download it to a mobile device. When putting your baby or infant to sleep, access the app and turn on the timer. Place the mobile device near your child and watch as the natural womb sounds put him/her to sleep.
If you or anyone else you know has a child or is expecting, download BabyDoze and enjoy restful nights again. For more information go to http://babydozewombsound.com.
