Aculon, Inc. Announces Warehouse Expansion to Accommodate Demand for Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic Surface Treatments

San Diego, CA – March 27, 2018 – San Diego surface modification company Aculon Inc. today announced the expansion of their warehouse to support their growth and the further development of their ground breaking technologies. The expansion comes in response to an increase both in customer demand and in the amount of inventory moving through the current space. It is Aculon’s second expansion in two years.

Located at Sorrento Valley Road in San Diego, the new warehouse space will be equipped to provide Aculon capacity for more raw materials and packaging, and improve flow and efficiency across the company.

“With the growth we are experiencing in both the electronics and specialty markets we have outgrown our existing operations so, once again, we are expanding space and hiring more people,” said Edward Hughes, CEO of Aculon.

Aculon specializes in creating ultra-thin film treatments to modify surfaces to make them repellant. Since its founding Aculon has developed a broad suite of surface modification technologies including hydrophobic, superhydrophobic, oleophobic, hydrophilic, anti-fouling and adhesion promotion technologies for global electronics, oil and gas and a specialty treatment business for consumer products, automotive, optical, and industrial applications.
