Sandy, Utah (May 29, 2014) — Actor Dave Bresnahan has announced that he has accepted an offer to play famed actor Peter Lorre in the film “Bogie and Bacall.” Other actors selected for the film so far include Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), Tracy Reiner (Apollo 13), Roxana Condurache (The Whistleblower), Paul Moreno (Bereave), Alice L. The film is a drama that will not only depict the relationship between Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall (Condurache), it will also include the relationships of other classic film icons, including Louella Parsons (Barr), Mayo Methot (Reiner), Michael Romanoff (Moreno), Truman Capote (Leal) as well as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, and John Huston.
Bresnahan has most recently appeared in “Saints and Soldiers: Battle of the Tanks,” “Mythica: The Necromancer,” “The Mentor,” and others. He has also appeared in many commercials, company training videos, and does voice over acting. He has been a journalist, public relations consultant, broadcaster, radio talk show host, elected official and was once a gymnast and coached the USA Men’s Gymnastics team for competitions in Russia and Latvia.
The production company of “Bogie and Bacall” is Knight Quest Entertainment, and the screenplay is by Helise Flickstein, who is also listed by IMDb as one of the producers of the film.
Filming is expected to begin in August, with a projected release in 2015, according to IMDb.
